Think I've been having too much ups and non-downs and I'm finally given some downs.

I continue doing what I'm supposed to do because the world doesn't stop for me (I should know) but something just tugs. Been a long while since it hurt.

By the way, prom is making me hate prom.

The gahmen must be very proud of me 'cause I totally miss Singapore (and the places/people in it) when I was in Japan. Sure it was a fun trip and all but nothing beats home. Will do a Japan post (reminder to self) when I get all the photos.

Prom in two days!

& then I got to sit down and think for my next move.

The day began with a visit to Nara Deer Park and Todaiji Temple! The buddha was 15m high, casted in copper and gold. Looks pretty grand.

Apparently if you touch whichever body part of this statue and then touch your own, that body part will recover from whatever ailment. Cool? I touched the left knee of that statue and hopefully it will become stronger. Hahaha.

I think I visited 3 temples in total and all three temple have this water thingy. You're supposed to wash your hands and drink the water. Clease your body and soul.

The deers are super scary. Initially they were just roaming about along the path and ignored you. After I bought the biscuits (meant for them), they just came towards me and surrounded me. Keep knocking and attacking me from every direction!!! Super scared and I just threw all the biscuits onto the ground. Heh.

Visited another temple, Kyomizu Temple. The view from the top is really breathtaking. It is probably a good thing that Singapore doesn't have four seasons, makes me appreciate the beauty of four seasons so much more. But a pity it rained that day. If not we could have taken so much more nice photos!

That night we had dinner at a ramen stall and it was quite an experience ordering food when you can't read the menu. With my extremely limited japanese knowledge and a while of playing charades, we managed to get the waitress not to give us beef. In the end we had seafood and charsiew ramen. It's like waiting for a surprise dinner. Haha.

Went shopping at Takashimaya before returning to the hotel. Hotel was not baaaaaaadd la. The exhibitions below are products of a competition I think!

7 hours flight. Kept turning and tossing to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Must fly first class next time, bigger seat! I fat. Reached Osaka at around 8am (Japan time). Being at Japan feels like I'm in another world altogether. Different landscape different weather different temperature different people different language different fashion. Really, it must be the lack of travelling for the last five years! Itinery that day included Osaka Castle, Kobe Chinatown, Nada Sake Museum, Harbourland, Dontombori and Shinsaibashi. The last two attractions are actually shopping belts. Didn't buy much the first day because the things are really expensive. High cost of living in Japan, yo. Night time comes at around 5pm, that is 4pm in Singapore time. Throughout the entire trip, I woke up at 530am, sky darkens at 4pm, reaches hotel at 7+ 8pm, sleep at around 11pm (all SG time). There you go, a different life. Meals that day included udon set meal (their set meal includes side dishes, rice AND udon) and tempura set.

When walking towards the castle we really enjoyed the view surrounding us. It's post autumn period so the leaves haven't shed completely yet and the colours are gorgeous. Photos don't do them justice!

I sat around the entire day at home and did almost nothing. Watched TV non-stop while doing up my nails (and end up removing everything), went Jolene's house to retrieve my iPod touch with movies and did some last minute packing. Takeaway dinner from 'Fatty Weng' and Papa brought me to this 'prawn fishing' place to look-see. Quite an interesting place, maybe can have some outing there next time haha. & then off to T3 we go! The last time I travelled was in Secondary 1 if I didn't remember wrongly, to Korea. Throughout these five years the furthest I've went is probably Malaysia? That explains my excitement and suaku-ness when I reached the airport for departure. Excitement overflowing! Checked in at 11pm, flight at 2am.

Daddy and Mummy! Daddy refuses to give me a hug before I leave he kept pulling away. He shy. Hahaha.

I really should be reading my Physics notes now but something made me look through the photos and videos in my phone. And the feelings that those vjk photos and videos (yes, our routine, dance and that haunting music) brought back totally caught me off guard. Cheer and vjk was almost what my whole one and a half year in VJ was about, and in this short 5 months amidst all the studying and A levels stress, I almost forgot how those days felt like. Those days when we trained hard, fought hard, and cried hard. Those days when I go to school just wishing that lessons will end soon so that training can start. Even those days when I dread training. Those days we struggled with 'what's next for us'. Those days in the hall piecing 10x10 mats, those days going through thick and thin with my team-mates. 30th and 31st May. All and everything, just to give it our all to uphold the name of VJ Knights. I don't know if we did it in the eyes of others, but to me we were a wonderful batch. I don't believe myself saying this now but boy, I do miss those days.

This is the worst week in this entire second half of the year I swear. ): This is a major examination and I can actually walk into the examination hall without knowing all the facts like the back of my hand. Honestly if I don't get my desired results it's really my own fault. But I don't want ): I don't want to do badly I cannot do badly.

What the hell I feel like crying lah. Must be the time of the month.

I really want to do well. ): desperately.

Well, I really do hope so. I swear if I can get 5 As for A's then miracles really do happen. Today's Economics paper was so bad that the best I could manage after the paper was to laugh at myself. Bell curve oh bell curve I need you!

Why isn't Econs and Physics the first few papers I have? Then at least they would be over and done with by now. Tomorrow's the first P paper and I must do well! All the equations will cone to me and I will understand the questions!

12 more days to 30th (:

It's rather unbelievable that in just 21 days, I'll be done with A's. My entire 6 years of education, nobody will care how well I did for my Secondary _ EOYs or J_ Common Test. All that matters will be the alphabets that appear on my certificate. I don't feel exactly up to it up to it. But I doubt I'll do any much better if you were to give me another month. It feels like whatever I do now (or later) will not be of help because the things that I have to know I already know. It's a matter of me performing (or not) during the papers.

The As? I just hope they come but honestly, not so sure anymore.

Give it your best shot.

Why do I feel like this month is going to end in no time? It probably is. My motivation comes entirely from the end of A's. Japan, SDD, Christmas (and thanks to Starbucks it feels like Xmas is just tomorrow, the internship programme (I really hope I get it!) and more more more!

The air smells freedom.
